What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will do Introductions and make Goals by discussing what brings you to seek support and what you hope to achieve. We will then do an exploration of Concerns to get a better sense of your situation, including your current challenges, any past experiences that may be relevant, and your overall mental health history. I will then share any information or resources pertaining to your concerns. We will then talk about setting expectations. I will wrap the session by answering any queries you may have.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a mental health provider is my ability to offer non-judgmental support and provide evidence-based information. I’m here to listen, understand your concerns, and provide guidance based on the latest research and best practices.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my sessions, I use CBT to help clients recognize and challenge distorted thinking patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving. This often involves setting specific goals, working through cognitive restructuring, and implementing practical strategies to manage symptoms.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support individuals, particularly children and adolescents, who have experienced traumatic events. TF-CBT is a specialized approach that addresses the emotional and psychological impact of trauma through a structured process. Initially, I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship and teaching coping skills to manage distress. We then move into processing the trauma, which includes creating a trauma narrative and gradually confronting the traumatic experience in a controlled and safe manner.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my practice, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in managing difficult emotions and aligning their actions with their core values. During sessions, I use ACT techniques to help clients develop mindfulness and cognitive defusion skills, allowing them to view their thoughts as transient and less impactful on their behavior, resulting in increased psychological flexibility, improved emotional well-being, and a greater sense of fulfillment as a result of ACT.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my practice, I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients, particularly those dealing with intense emotional dysregulation and related challenges. DBT is a comprehensive cognitive-behavioral approach, resulting in reduction in emotional reactivity, better crisis management, and improved relationship dynamics
