New to Grow
Hi, I’m LaNae! Think of me as the therapist who brings equal parts humor, warmth, and honesty into the room. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or scary—it can be a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and even laugh a little along the way. I’m not a one size fits all therapist. However, if I am a match we will take great strides and efforts to reach your goals.
Your first session with me will feel relaxed and welcoming. I know how difficult it can be to be vulnerable with someone new, so we start by simply getting to know each other. My goal is to make the process easy, safe, and authentic—so we can build trust and rapport before diving into deeper work together
My approach to care is compassionate, grounded, and nonjudgmental. I meet clients exactly where they are, whether they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to leap forward. I aim to create a space where you can bring your whole self without fear of criticism, and where healing happens at your pace In our work together, I walk alongside you. I don’t tell you how to live your life; instead, I help you discover your own insight, clarity, and direction. We work together to build the life you want—not the life the world pressures you into.
My ideal client is anyone who is ready for change—no matter how big or small, or no matter what stage of life you’re in. Readiness doesn’t mean you have all the answers; it simply means you’re open to exploring what’s possible.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured, skills-based treatment that blends cognitive-behavioral strategies with mindfulness practices. It is especially effective for individuals struggling with intense emotions, relationship difficulties, or impulsive behaviors. DBT teaches four core skill areas—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—that empower clients to manage stress, stabilize mood, and improve communication. The goal is to help individuals build a life worth living by balancing acceptance with change.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. In treatment, CBT helps clients recognize patterns of thinking that contribute to distress, while teaching them practical coping skills and strategies to reframe negative thought processes. Through collaboration, clients learn to develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving, which can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. It’s goal-oriented, time-limited, and empowers clients to become their own therapists by practicing skills both inside and outside of sessions.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a specialized form of CBT designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. It combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with trauma-sensitive interventions to reduce symptoms like fear, anxiety, and intrusive memories. TF-CBT provides a safe and supportive space where clients can gradually face and reframe painful experiences, while also learning coping skills to manage triggers and build resilience. This approach is especially effective for children, adolescents, and families, but can also benefit adults seeking to move forward from trauma with healthier thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
