About me

Welcome! My name is Jesika White, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Southern California. I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have over 3 years in experience working with individuals from all backgrounds. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or life transitions, I am here to help you navigate these challenges with a focus on long-term growth and well-being. I offer evidence-based strategies and tools to explore emotions, uncover patterns, and develop healthier ways of coping. I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership, and I am fully invested in your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, expectations of therapy, your current concerns, and your goals for treatment. Finding someone who you connect with and feel comfortable sharing vulnerable parts of you, is one of the most important factors for successful therapy. The sessions after this will be tailored to what was identified in the first session. I am deeply committed to helping you build resilience, regain your sense of agency, and create a life where you feel empowered, supported, and capable of facing whatever challenges come your way. If you're ready to begin this transformative journey, I’m here to help you take that first step toward healing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I believe that every individual has the potential for growth and healing, and I work collaboratively with my clients to support them in achieving their personal goals. I am passionate about eliminating stigma around mental health and providing a space that promotes genuineness and authenticity. I approach every conversation with empathy and neutrality, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings openly. My goal is to help you clarify your feelings and identify patterns that might be contributing to any challenges you’re facing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have over three years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, and the lasting effects of trauma. We’ll work together to understand the root of your struggles, build coping strategies, and develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving. Whether you're grappling with feelings of hopelessness or anxiety, working through a traumatic experience, or struggling to adjust to life’s changes, I’ll be with you every step of the way. I understand that healing is not linear, and everyone’s journey is different. That’s why I take a personalized, client-centered approach, tailoring our work together to meet your unique needs and goals. Through this partnership, we’ll uncover your inner strengths, explore new perspectives, and develop practical tools to help you lead a more fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that each person has an innate capacity for growth and self-healing, and I use Person-Centered techniques to tap into that potential. I I like to focus on the whole person not just a collection of symptoms. Treatment emphasizes the client's capacity for self-growth and promoting autonomy. By providing a safe, accepting, and non-judgmental space, I aim to help you reconnect with your true self, explore your feelings without fear of judgment, and work through life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming worry, feelings of hopelessness, or unhelpful patterns that are holding you back, I use CBT techniques can help you gain insight into different factors that may be contributing to your challenges—and provide you with strategies to transform those patterns. I love using CBT because it empowers clients to take an active role in your healing process and build long-term coping skills that you can use outside of therapy.
