Hi, I'm Amanda, I'm a Hispanic Mexican American, culturally sensitive psychotherapist. I am known for my warm, caring, family-oriented personality. With more than 20 years of experience working with children, pre-teens, teens, adults and seniors. I've worked in children community mental health, crisis intervention and substance abuse treatment. I'm experienced with anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, behavioral issues, relationship issues, adoption, womens issues and life transitions.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I feel that my biggest strengths are the ability to be nonjudgmental and help others gain insight into their worries and struggles in order for them to reach attainable goals and experience self-growth.

Strength-based therapy is a type of positive psychotherapy and counseling that focuses on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on your weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. This focus sets up a positive mindset that helps you build on your best qualities, find your strengths, improve resilience, and change your worldview to one that is more positive.
