As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of mental health and relationships. For the past decade, I have worked in a jail setting, where I have gained invaluable experience in crisis management. My work in this challenging environment has honed my skills in de-escalation and conflict resolution, and has taught me the importance of compassion and empathy in even the most difficult of situations. In addition to my work in the jail system, I have also maintained a thriving private practice, where I take an eclectic approach to therapy.
I believe the foundation of any successful therapeutic relationship is built on trust and mutual respect, and I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where clients feel heard and valued. My warm and empathetic approach allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level which can especially be helpful for those who may be hesitant to seek therapy or feel uncomfortable opening up to a therapist.
I specialize in the psychodynamic approach, to delve into understanding the unconscious mind and its influence on current behaviors and emotional well-being. Then, utilize CBT to change the unwanted behavior.
