LCSW, 6 years of experience
Welcome to a space built on understanding, authenticity, and connection. Whether you’re navigating anxiety that feels overwhelming or seeking to strengthen your relationship, I offer a compassionate and affirming environment where all identities and partnerships are respected and supported. My approach honors the unique dynamics and challenges that both heterosexual and LGBTQ+ couples experience, providing a safe place to communicate openly, heal together, and build deeper emotional intimacy. Through evidence-based therapy and genuine care, we’ll work collaboratively to calm anxious patterns, improve connection, and help you move toward a more grounded, fulfilling life—individually and together.
Our first session will be goal oriented. What are your primary “symptoms” that are impacting your life? How would you like to see those symptoms change? You and I will plan, step by step, how to reduce unwanted thoughts, emotions and behaviors to live a healthier life.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is meeting people—and couples—exactly where they are. Whether I’m working with someone individually or with partners together, I focus on creating a space where everyone feels heard, understood, and supported. My person-centered approach allows me to adapt to each person’s unique experiences, goals, and pace. With couples, that means helping each partner feel safe enough to communicate openly and reconnect with empathy and trust. With individuals, it’s about helping you find clarity, calm, and confidence as you move toward the life you!
I’m best suited to work with clients who are open-minded and ready to think creatively as we work together to find meaningful solutions. I especially enjoy supporting individuals with independent spirits who are motivated to grow and succeed. I’m passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community and strive to make my practice a fully inclusive and affirming space for all. I also have a deep appreciation for working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those with intellectual disabilities, honoring each person’s unique strengths and perspectives.
I have a decade of experience using different components of CBT in practice. I have additionally used this method across several treatment areas such as: parenting, child welfare, adolescent behavior, medical trauma, substance abuse addiction and criminal behavior.
Let's explore how our thoughts, feelings, communications, behaviors, and interpersonal exchanges shape us. We can have those discussions about how your learned behaviors may be getting in the way of your potential.

Asked great questions, pushed back on my thinking in a way helped me notice my own biases. Excited to keep working with her.

Amber is a wonderful listener and incredibly observational. She provided a warm and welcoming environment(even through a webpage), that allowed me to freely work through my own thoughts and feelings while gently helping me along the way. A very cathartic and positive first session.
