Hi I'm Abby! I'm a mental health professional with five years of experience working in a variety of settings, including community mental health and integrated primary care. My goal is to bring a compassionate, strengths-based approach to each therapy session. I utilize evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients navigating trauma, life transitions, anxiety, and other emotional challenges. I aim to create a safe space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and move toward meaningful change.
Our first session will be an introduction and a collaboration to determine goals and next steps!
My greatest strengths are creating a supportive, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment throughout sessions. I have extensive experiencing utilizing solution-based therapy skills to collaborate on goals and to empower my clients to create meaningful change within their lives.
I am able to provide services to both children and adults. I have extensive experience working with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
I have been trained in Trauma-Focused CBT for the past 5 years. I have utilized this method with multiple age groups and have found it to provide significant benefit to clients while processing and healing from trauma.
I have utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the past five years to assist clients with disorders including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and more.
I have utilized Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a treatment method for the past five years within multiple settings, including community mental health and primary care, as a way to empower and collaborate with patients.
I have three years of experience providing grief therapy to patients in a primary care setting.
