Welcome! I look forward to working with you. I have had the opportunity to work with children and adults for over 20 years and enjoy being able to walk with you through your therapeutic journey. I mainly use Cognitive behavioral therapy and emotional therapy; the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for the work that I will do. If you are looking to address stress and reduce symptoms, my practice is one of acceptance. My/our time together is free of judgment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I like to create a safe environment where clients can be themselves and feel accepted. I enjoy listening and being able to help others. In our first session, clients should expect a comfortable and safe environment where they can be their authentic selves. I'll ask about your background, history, and what brings you into therapy. If you think we might be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out today.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I use an eclectic approach with elements of DBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, and strengths-based therapy to help my clients meet their individual goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, many of my clients have issues like PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other concerns. Some might find it difficult to concentrate. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques are effective in challenging and changing negative thought patterns. Techniques like cognitive restructuring help in identifying and reframing irrational beliefs and assumptions.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Treatment is effective in helping clients construct solutions to their problems/concerns. As a therapist, I assume my clients already possess solution-building abilities and listen intently to try to identify cues in their discussions to support this. In my practice, I use the seven principles of solution-focused therapy to help clients learn how to manage emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal concerns.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) is an effective talk therapy for people who experience emotions very intensely. I found DBT useful in working with clients cope with extreme emotional suffering and, often, self-injurious behavior.
