What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First and foremost, I'd like to express my gratitude to you for taking the step to explore therapy. I understand it's a significant decision, and I'm here to support you throughout this journey. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the person-centered philosophy, which fundamentally means that I believe each individual possesses their own unique set of experiences, values, and perspectives. I see you as the expert on your life, and my role is to act as a supportive guide and sounding board as we navigate through your concerns together. Here's what you can expect from me: No matter what you share with me, I will always approach it with acceptance, without judgment. Everyone has their story and reasons for their feelings and actions. I'm here to understand, not judge. In keeping with a diverse person-centered approach, I aim to consider all facets of your identity and how they intersect, be it race, gender, sexuality, religion, or any other aspect that's essential to understanding you as a whole. While we'll work together to address the challenges you face, my ultimate goal is to empower you. This means helping you recognize your own strengths, values, and capabilities, so you feel equipped to manage future challenges independently. In essence, I'm here to walk alongside you, offering support, understanding, and tools as you traverse your unique path. You always have a voice in this process, and I'm eager to hear what you have to say. Let's work together to foster growth, healing, and self-understanding."
