About me

You are not broken, you are becoming. You've gone through/going through hard things. Clients walk away feeling safe, accepted, and empowered to grow and heal in their own way. Through mindfulness, support, and awareness, you can gain the tools to thrive while embracing your personal journey. I am a EMDR certified therapist and child mental health specialist, licensed in both Washington and Idaho, with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Gonzaga University. I love being near water—it’s where I feel most at peace. I take a collaborative and compassionate approach to care, using evidence-based techniques to support your journey. Together, we'll track progress, set meaningful goals, and adapt strategies that work best for you. I'm genuinely curious about your unique experiences, ensuring our work is personalized and effective. Your journey matters.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you and create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your story. We'll spend time talking about what's bringing you to therapy, your goals, and what you'd like to get out of our work together. I'll ask some background questions to better understand your experiences and will explain my approach so you know what to expect moving forward. This first meeting is about building trust, answering your questions, and starting to shape a plan that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I stand out as a therapist who blends a strong clinical foundation with a deeply relational, down-to-earth style. My approach is unique because I combine evidence-based modalities like CBT+, EMDR, Circle of Security, and the Gottman Method with attachment-focused work and grief and stress support, allowing me to meet clients at every stage of life-individuals, couples, and families alike. I am both structured and warm, helping clients feel safe while guiding them toward meaningful, lasting change. As a natural relationship builder, I create genuine connections that help clients feel deeply seen, understood, and supported. I come from a grounded, approachable energy that helps put people at ease, and my sessions leave clients not only with practical tools, but also with a renewed sense of empowerment and hope.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who's looking for a warm, approachable therapist who combines evidence-based practices with deep compassion. Whether they're healing from trauma, a parent wanting to strengthen their connection with their child, or a couple working to improve communication, they’re open to growth and willing to explore new perspectives. They appreciate a blend of structured tools—like CBT, EMDR, and the Gottman Method—alongside a human, relational approach. Many of my clients resonate with my love of learning, my down-to-earth style, and my ability to create a safe, relationship-focused space where healing truly feels possible.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my therapy practice, I often incorporate CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. I create a collaborative space where clients can learn practical coping strategies, build self-awareness and gain confidence in managing life's challenges. By combining CBT with other therapeutic approaches, I tailor each session to meet individual needs and promote lasing growth and resilience.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. EMDR works by engaging the brain's natural healing processes through bilateral stimulation, allowing clients to reprocess painful memories in a safe and supported environment. I integrate EMDR into treatment plans when it's a good fit, helping clients feel more grounded, empowered, and able to move forward with a greater sense of peace.

Gottman method

I incorporate the Gottman Method in my work with couples to strengthen relationships and deepen emotional connection. This approach focuses on improving communication, building trust, and fostering shared meaning through practical, research-based strategies. I create a safe and supportive environment where couples can explore patterns, resolve conflicts, and develop skills to nurture a lasting, healthy partnership.

Grief Therapy

In grief therapy, I provide a compassionate and supportive space for clients to process loss at their own pace. I help individuals navigate the complex emotions of grief-whether from the loss of a loved one, a major life change, or other transitions-while honoring their unique experience. Together, we work on finding meaning, building coping skills, and creating space for healing and hope.

Attachment-based

As a Circle of Security facilitator, I guide parents and caregivers in strengthening their bond with their children and deepening their understanding of their child's emotional needs. This approach focuses on building secure attachment, helping caregivers feel more confident and connected in their parenting. I create supportive, nonjudgmental space where families can explore patterns, learn new strategies, and foster healthier relationships.
