About me

As a marriage and family therapist, I specialize in helping people improve family and other intimate relationships. We deserve to feel loved and connected in our family and especially in our marriage. I also have extensive experience helping people overcome their fears and anxiety. I enjoy helping empower people to live a fuller life where anxiety is an after-thought instead of the first thought. I've been seeing clients since 2020.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

When we first meet, I want to first ease your mind by answering any and all questions you may have to the best of my ability. I will also spend time getting to know you. I strive to understand my clients as best I can in that first session especially. By the end I aim to have a clear goal moving forward-where we want to get to and how to get there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I strive to be a "down-to-earth" kind of person both in my personal and professional life. My clients have told me that I've been most helpful to them by understanding (and translating) their thoughts and emotions, being calm and patient, and for being straightforward about things that would be helpful to change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

While I've helped people through many different concerns and issues, I've had the most experience working with anxiety and helping couples. If you're similar to many of those I've worked with already your feeling stuck is not for lack of trying. Engaging in therapy can be a hard step, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good step. Whether you're scared or exhausted, or a mixture of both, I want to help you find hope to move forward.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

We do not live in a vacuum. Attachment theory is the idea that we are impacted by past and present relationships. As appropriate, we will explore past and current relationships, positive and negative, in a way to better understand current circumstances.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Sometimes our thoughts run wild. Our mind takes us places that isn't healthy, and sometimes not even true. We can learn and apply techniques that help us 'undo' these unhelpful thought patterns to help us think and act with the best information instead of from a place of anxiety or fear.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotions are a part of us, we cannot rid ourselves of them. When we try to ignore them, they tend to take on a bigger role in our lives. Instead of avoiding them, we can learn to work with them. When we do this, we can become more whole, healthier human beings.
