About me

Grounded. Compassionate. Solution-Focused. I strive to assist men and women in building resilience, self-compassion, and lasting emotional balance. As both a veteran and a therapist, I bring a unique blend of lived experience and clinical expertise to my work. I specialize in supporting women who are healing from the lasting impacts of trauma and working to overcome anxiety and depression—whether it shows up as constant worry, panic attacks, social anxiety, specific phobias, persistent sadness, loss of motivation, or feeling “stuck.” My approach is holistic and solution-focused, integrating mind, body, and spirit. Sessions may incorporate mindfulness, wellness-focused conversations, and strategies to help clients build clarity, calm, and resilience. Clinically, I draw from a diverse and evidence-based toolkit: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy to help clients identify, challenge, and reframe anxious thoughts while gradually facing their fears. Internal Family Systems (IFS) to foster deeper self-understanding and healing of wounded inner parts. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective coping. Mindfulness practices to cultivate presence, balance, and grounding in the here and now. All of this is guided by a solution-focused approach, ensuring that clients leave each session with meaningful insights and practical, actionable steps. Most importantly, I am committed to creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to show up exactly as they are. My goal is for every person I work with to leave feeling seen, supported, and empowered—equipped with the tools to move forward with confidence, resilience, and a renewed sense of self.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous. I work to create a space where people feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported—no pressure, no judgment. In our first session, we’ll simply focus on getting to know each other. Clients can share as much or as little as they’d like, at a pace that feels comfortable. I ask thoughtful, gentle questions to understand what’s been going on and what they’re hoping to gain from therapy. Together, we create a personalized plan that feels realistic, flexible, and meaningful. I believe in building a supportive partnership where people feel empowered to face challenges and know they don’t have to carry everything on their own. If you’re a provider or community professional, know that when you refer someone to me, they’ll be met with warmth, compassion, and a collaborative approach from day one.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over nine years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults, I specialize in women’s mental health and help clients navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. I believe change begins by understanding your unique story—your values, struggles, and strengths—and honoring what matters most to you. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood, while also encouraging growth beyond patterns that may no longer serve you. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you live more fully in alignment with your values. For clients processing trauma, I offer a gentle, trauma-informed approach, integrating Narrative Therapy, IFS-informed parts work, and somatic awareness to support healing at your own pace. I also weave in mindfulness and self-compassion practices to reduce anxiety, stress, and self-criticism. Whether you’re facing anxiety, burnout, trauma, or relationship struggles, we’ll work together to build tools, insight, and resilience so you can feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to your authentic self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Reaching out for therapy often comes at a point when life feels heavy, overwhelming, or just plain exhausting. My clients are women, veterans, teens, and adults who have carried a lot—sometimes silently—for far too long. They may be navigating trauma, grief, depression, or anxiety. Others are moving through painful relationships, identity shifts, or major life changes that have left them feeling lost, disconnected, or worn down. Many of the people I work with have spent years being the “strong one” for others, even when they felt anything but strong inside. If this sounds familiar, please know—you’re not alone, and you don’t have to keep carrying it all by yourself. Therapy can be the space where you finally get to exhale. A space where you don’t have to perform, explain, or hold it together. Instead, you get to show up exactly as you are—tired, uncertain, hopeful, hurting, or anywhere in between—and know that it’s more than enough. The clients who find the most healing in our work together are those who want more than just “coping.” They’re looking for a place to feel understood, to move beyond survival mode, and to reconnect with themselves on a deeper level. Together, we use evidence-based therapies like CBT, mindfulness, and interpersonal work, but we also honor the whole of who you are—your body, your emotions, your story, and your spirit. Healing isn’t about rushing to feel “better” or fixing yourself—it’s about gently rediscovering your resilience, your truth, and your ability to live in a way that feels more peaceful and authentic. My ideal clients are ready to take that first brave step toward something different, even if they’re unsure what the journey will look like yet. Whether you’re seeking relief from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or the weight of simply holding it all together for too long, I will meet you exactly where you are—with compassion, patience, and respect. If you’re ready to explore a gentler, more hopeful way forward, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a supportive and collaborative approach that helps you navigate life’s challenges by gently exploring and reshaping unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. CBT is a practical, empowering method that focuses on building real-life strategies you can use every day—both in and outside of therapy. Together, we’ll work to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected, so you can feel more confident, resilient, and in control of your well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

With over five years of experience providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I specialize in helping people who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, struggle in relationships, or just want better tools to handle life’s ups and downs. DBT is a powerful blend of acceptance and change, and in our work together, I’ll offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood and empowered. You’ll learn practical, everyday skills to help you manage stress, communicate more effectively, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I offer Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), a gentle, evidence-based approach that supports children, teens, and their caregivers in healing from the effects of trauma. TF-CBT provides a safe and nurturing space where young people can begin to process what they’ve been through, better understand their emotions, and learn healthy, effective ways to cope. This approach combines practical tools from cognitive behavioral therapy with gradual, supportive steps to reduce symptoms like anxiety, sadness, fear, and behavioral challenges. I work closely with both children and their caregivers—because healing happens best together—to help foster resilience, emotional growth, and lasting well-being.

Strength-Based

I offer Strength-Based Therapy, a supportive and empowering approach that focuses on what makes you strong, not just what’s been difficult. Together, we’ll explore your resilience, your inner resources, and the ways you’ve already grown through life’s challenges—often more than you realize. Instead of focusing on what’s “wrong,” we’ll look at what’s right and build from there. This kind of therapy helps you reconnect with your sense of identity, confidence, and purpose, offering a fresh and hopeful path toward healing and lasting change.
