I’m a licensed clinical social worker who believes therapy should feel grounding, human, and intentional. My work is rooted in the understanding that many people are not broken—they are overwhelmed, overextended, and disconnected from themselves after years of doing what was required to survive. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and respect for each client’s lived experience. I don’t rush the process or impose quick fixes. Instead, I create space for reflection, emotional awareness, and nervous system regulation so clients can better understand themselves and make changes that feel sustainable and aligned. As a therapist, I value honesty, clarity, and compassion. I balance thoughtful insight with practical tools, helping clients not only gain awareness but also apply what they’re learning in real life. I’m especially mindful of how culture, identity, relationships, and systemic stressors shape the way people move through the world. At my core, I believe calm is not something you find—it’s something you practice. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself, strengthen your inner voice, and build a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and authentic.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a space to slow down, get oriented, and begin building a sense of safety and trust. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you’re ready for. We’ll move at a pace that feels respectful and grounded. During our first session, we will: Talk about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping for support around Explore relevant history, patterns, and current stressors at a high level Begin noticing how your thoughts, emotions, and body respond to stress Clarify goals and discuss how therapy with me typically works You don’t need to prepare anything special. Some clients come with a clear concern; others simply know something feels off. Both are welcome here. I may ask reflective questions, offer gentle observations, or help put language to experiences that feel hard to name. Above all, the first session is about connection—not problem-solving. My goal is for you to leave feeling grounded, understood, and clear about whether this feels like the right therapeutic fit moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a grounded, relational, and deeply attuned presence to my work. Clients often describe feeling seen, understood, and emotionally safe—sometimes for the first time. I have a strong ability to sit with complexity, helping clients slow down, regulate their nervous system, and make sense of thoughts, emotions, and patterns without judgment or urgency. My strengths include helping clients: Build emotional awareness when feelings feel confusing, overwhelming, or disconnected Identify and unlearn deeply rooted patterns related to attachment, boundaries, self-worth, and overfunctioning Develop healthier communication and relational dynamics without losing themselves Move out of survival mode and into intentional, values-aligned living I am especially skilled at working with high-functioning, introspective individuals who are tired of “holding it together” but unsure how to rest, soften, or prioritize themselves. I balance insight with practicality, offering thoughtful reflection alongside tools clients can actually use between sessions. Above all, my approach is calm, intentional, and human. I don’t rush healing or impose solutions. I create space for clients to reconnect with themselves, trust their inner voice, and move forward with clarity and self-compassion.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adult women—especially women of color—who are high-functioning, reflective, and often carrying more than they realize. Many of my clients appear “put together” on the outside but feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from constantly being strong, responsible, or self-sacrificing. My ideal clients may be navigating: Anxiety, overthinking, or emotional burnout Relationship patterns that involve overgiving, people-pleasing, or difficulty setting boundaries Identity shifts, life transitions, or a growing sense of “I want more, but I’m not sure what.” Family dynamics shaped by high expectations, cultural pressure, or unspoken rules A desire to heal attachment wounds and develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships I am especially attuned to the experiences of women of color who have learned to suppress their needs, emotions, or vulnerability to survive, succeed, or care for others. Therapy with me acknowledges the impact of culture, generational patterns, and systemic stressors while creating space for rest, self-trust, and authenticity. Clients who do well in my practice are open to self-reflection, curious about their internal world, and ready to move beyond survival mode. Together, we focus on emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and intentional boundary-setting to help life feel more aligned, grounded, and sustainable.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

My years of working with individuals struggling to accept & work through uncomfortable feelings utilizing ACT as a treatment modality have proven effective. I work authentically with clients on developing self-acceptance & self-compassion as ways to live meaningful lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavior therapy is one of the most commonly used treatment approaches and one that I utilize to assist & support clients seeking to address specific issues such as depression, anxiety, or relational issues.

Somatic

I practice from the whole body approach which is known as somatic work or somatic experiences. Clinically, I have observed that when a person is experiencing unmanaged emotional challenges; they often experience physical symptoms that are interrelated, and somatic therapy can help clients make this connection discovery.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma is more prevalent than we realize and oftentimes, I have found that my clients present with multiple traumas. In my work with clients using a trauma-informed approach, I support & guide clients through the complexity of trauma, how it impacts their level of functioning & the effect on one's ability to cope.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

In my clinical work primarily with the BIPOC community, I support & validate my client's cultural values & beliefs. Cultural sensitivity is an integral part of my work with clients in validating their emotions & working to understand the impact of culture on individual development.
