About me

As a therapist, I hold on to the vision of your possible future even when you are in so much pain you cannot see beyond today. I wait patiently for the day when you can see the beauty inside yourself that I saw from the first day we met." (asiansformentalhealth) My therapeutic style is warm, engaging, and genuine. I take an eclectic approach to counseling in which I enjoy working with people from all different lifestyles. I enjoy helping people work through a variety of life challenges, from depression and anxiety to addictions, relationship difficulties, stress management, identity challenges, coping skills, and emotional awareness. I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others. I also support individuals processing cultural or generational dynamics, perfectionism, and self-worth challenges. My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences openly. I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered lens and tailor treatment to your unique needs, values, and pace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and creating a comfortable space for you to share what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, your history, and your goals so we can begin to understand what you’d like to work on together. You don’t have to have everything figured out—many clients come in feeling unsure of where to start, and that’s completely okay. I’ll also explain more about my approach to therapy and answer any questions you might have about the process, confidentiality, or what our work will look like moving forward. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and to have a clearer sense of how we can work together toward the changes you want to see.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance I bring between structure and compassion. I draw heavily from evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns, while also incorporating mindfulness, self-compassion practices, and practical coping skills that can be applied right away. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I provide both emotional support and concrete tools, so they leave sessions feeling understood but also empowered with steps they can take outside of therapy. My style is collaborative—I see therapy as a partnership where we explore challenges together, break them down into manageable pieces, and celebrate progress along the way. The result is often not just symptom relief, but also greater confidence, resilience, and clarity about values and direction in life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward in their lives. Many of my clients come to therapy experiencing anxiety, depression, low motivation, or difficulty coping with major life changes such as divorce, job stress, or shifting relationships. I also work well with people who tend to be self-critical, struggle with overthinking, or feel weighed down by guilt and expectations. I especially enjoy working with clients who are motivated to understand themselves better and are open to exploring new perspectives and skills, even if they’re not sure where to start. My approach is supportive and collaborative—I meet you where you are and help you clarify your goals, build healthier thought patterns, and develop practical tools you can use in everyday life. Whether your goals are to reduce anxiety, build confidence, improve relationships, or reconnect with motivation and purpose, I create a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work together on lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an evidence-based approach to support clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and replace them with more balanced, constructive ways of thinking. I also incorporate behavioral strategies, such as activity scheduling, problem-solving skills, and relaxation techniques, to help clients reduce avoidance and build confidence in managing daily stressors. My approach is collaborative—I work with clients to set realistic goals, monitor progress, and practice skills both in session and through homework assignments that encourage application in real-life situations.
