About me

You are not broken—you are becoming. Life brings challenges, and therapy can be a space where you feel safe, accepted, and empowered to grow at your own pace. I believe in a compassionate, collaborative approach that blends evidence-based practices with genuine curiosity about your unique story. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you, track progress, and set meaningful goals that support healing and resilience. I am an EMDR certified therapist and child mental health specialist, licensed in both Washington and Idaho, with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Gonzaga University.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is about creating a safe, supportive space where you can share your story. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and your hopes for the future. I’ll also ask background questions to better understand your experiences and explain my approach so you know what to expect. By the end, my goal is that you feel understood, reassured, and ready to begin your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me that I balance a structured, clinical foundation with a down-to-earth, approachable style. I aim to make therapy feel both safe and practical—combining proven therapeutic methods with warmth and empathy. My ability to build strong, authentic relationships helps clients feel seen and supported, while the tools we develop together empower them to create meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, self-care challenges, and relationship concerns. Many of my clients seek support in building healthier boundaries, improving communication, and reconnecting with their strengths. Whether you’re facing stress, grief, or life transitions, I strive to provide a space where you feel empowered, respected, and encouraged to grow into the best version of yourself.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my therapy practice, I often incorporate CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. I create a collaborative space where clients can learn practical coping strategies, build self-awareness and gain confidence in managing life's challenges. By combining CBT with other therapeutic approaches, I tailor each session to meet individual needs and promote lasing growth and resilience.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. EMDR works by engaging the brain's natural healing processes through bilateral stimulation, allowing clients to reprocess painful memories in a safe and supported environment. I integrate EMDR into treatment plans when it's a good fit, helping clients feel more grounded, empowered, and able to move forward with a greater sense of peace.

Gottman method

I incorporate the Gottman Method in my work with couples to strengthen relationships and deepen emotional connection. This approach focuses on improving communication, building trust, and fostering shared meaning through practical, research-based strategies. I create a safe and supportive environment where couples can explore patterns, resolve conflicts, and develop skills to nurture a lasting, healthy partnership.

Grief Therapy

In grief therapy, I provide a compassionate and supportive space for clients to process loss at their own pace. I help individuals navigate the complex emotions of grief-whether from the loss of a loved one, a major life change, or other transitions-while honoring their unique experience. Together, we work on finding meaning, building coping skills, and creating space for healing and hope.

Attachment-based

As a Circle of Security facilitator, I guide parents and caregivers in strengthening their bond with their children and deepening their understanding of their child's emotional needs. This approach focuses on building secure attachment, helping caregivers feel more confident and connected in their parenting. I create supportive, nonjudgmental space where families can explore patterns, learn new strategies, and foster healthier relationships.
