I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience walking alongside people as they navigate life’s struggles, questions, and turning points. I work especially well with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, spiritual or faith-related stress, and life transitions. As someone who values meaning, presence, and authenticity, I approach each session with kindness and care. I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions—but I do believe that healing is possible, growth is always available, and you don’t have to do this alone. I currently offer virtual sessions to clients in Kentucky and Kansas, and am in the process of expanding my licensure to Washington. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a chance for us to begin getting to know each other. I’ll spend time asking questions to gather both background and present-day information about you—what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any important experiences or patterns that may be shaping your current challenges. This initial assessment helps me understand how best to support you moving forward. At the same time, I want this to feel like a conversation, not an interview. You’re welcome to ask questions at any point—about the therapy process, my approach, or anything else that would help you feel more comfortable. I’ll also share a bit about myself and how I work, so you can get a sense of who I am and how I show up in the therapeutic space. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is key to meaningful progress, so I approach our first meeting with warmth, curiosity, and care. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and not alone. Whether you’re feeling nervous, unsure, or just ready to talk—I’ll meet you right where you are. By the end of our first session, we’ll have a shared understanding of your goals and next steps, and hopefully the beginning of a connection that feels supportive and genuine.

My integrative approach combines Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a way that is both gentle and effective. I help clients increase their self-awareness, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and develop tools to navigate life with more clarity and intention. I also specialize in working with clients facing spiritual stress, life transitions, or emotional burnout—helping them reconnect with what matters most. I help clients reconnect with their own inner clarity and wisdom by using a gentle yet focused approach that integrates Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Through mindfulness, we’ll practice being present with your emotions, your body, and your experiences—without judgment or pressure to “fix” anything. With CBT, we’ll look at the beliefs and thought patterns that may be keeping you stuck or second-guessing yourself. This isn’t about forcing positivity or bypassing pain; it’s about building insight, tools, and confidence so you can move forward in alignment with what truly matters to you. My clients are often thoughtful, reflective people—sometimes helpers themselves—who have spent a lot of time supporting others but now realize they need space to tend to themselves. Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In my practice, I take a collaborative and compassionate approach rooted in Mindfulness-Based Therapy, integrated with principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Mindfulness helps clients build awareness of their present-moment experience—thoughts, emotions, physical sensations—without judgment. I find this especially effective in reducing anxiety, managing depression, and navigating life transitions or chronic stress.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through my clinical work, I’ve seen how the combination of mindfulness and CBT can help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, gain emotional regulation skills, and foster self-compassion. I often guide clients through mindfulness practices such as breathwork, body scans, and grounding techniques, while also helping them challenge cognitive distortions and reframe negative self-talk using CBT tools.

With over two decades of experience in behavioral health, I've used this approach to help individuals facing a wide range of concerns, from mood disorders and trauma to existential dilemmas and spiritual stressors.
