Dr. Kayla Fausti

LPC, 8 years of experience
VirtualAvailable

I’m a dually licensed therapist with over eight years of experience in mental health and substance use counseling, but more than anything, I’m just a real person who cares deeply about the people I work with. I help clients make sense of what they’re going through, heal from what’s been heavy, and figure out how to move forward in a way that actually feels good and meaningful to them. My style is warm, honest, trauma-informed, and grounded in tools that truly work—without it ever feeling cold or clinical. I’m really glad you’re here. You don’t have to do this alone.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what’s bringing you in, at your own pace. You can expect a relaxed, judgement-free space where you’re encouraged to share openly and ask questions. My goal is to understand your story and help you feel supported as we start this journey together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes me unique as a therapist is my ability to create a safe, down-to-earth space where clients feel genuinely seen and understood - especially those who may not have felt that in other settings. My strengths lie in building strong, trusting relationships and helping clients uncover their inner resilience and purpose.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You’re someone who’s been through a lot and knows it’s time to start putting yourself first. Maybe you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or just not like yourself lately - but you’re ready to do the work and start healing. If you’re open to having real, honest conversations and finding what truly matters to you, we will work well together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In therapy, I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thoughts, challenge them, and develop healthier coping strategies. Our thoughts are powerful and learning how to make them healthier can be life changing.

EMDR

I use EMDR to support clients in processing and reducing the emotional intensity of distressing memories and trauma events.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to help clients identify their resilience, inner resources, and existing coping skills, empowering them to move forward with confidence and self-compassion.

Grief Therapy

I use grief therapy to help individuals process loss in a way that honors their unique relationship, emotions, and timeline, while creating space for meaning, healing, and continued connection.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness so they can navigate intense emotions and relationships more confidently. DBT allows me to balance validation with change, supporting clients in accepting themselves while also developing healthier coping strategies.
