Iris Mosah

LMHC, 6 years of experience

Warm
Empowering
Authentic

Hi there! Are you looking for a therapist who will simultaneously be your cheerleader and challenger? Who will empower you to step into the best version of yourself and take charge of your mental health and life? Look no further. My name is Iris and I am a Masters-level clinician who is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology. I offer an eclectic range of modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, existential therapy, Christian perspective, positive pschology, and more. My goal is to create a safe space for self-discovery, healing, and challenging oneself. I am comfortable being both directive and non-directive as I believe in meeting each client where they are at. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my German Shepherd, Dozier, creative writing, participating in theatre, weightlifting, spending time with friends, and traveling. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, I will collect a full history to better understand who you are and what has brought you to this very moment. We will discuss your goals and expectations for therapy. I'll also want to hear about any previous treatment experiences and what worked/didn't so that I can create an experience best tailored to your personality and needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My clinical strengths include working with eating disorders and body image, trauma - especially surviving and healing from sexual trauma, personality disorders, anxiety, mood concerns, and identity exploration. I take a holistic approach in treating mental health, meaning that I will challenge you to take inventory of your physical and spiritual health as well.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Personality disorders, eating disorders and body image, addiction, self-esteem, couples counseling, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, spiritual concerns, trauma, and multicultural issues.
