I specialize and hold certifications in grief, trauma, youth mental health, ADHD and Autism. I have spent many years working with families, teenagers and adults by helping identify and resolve problems with some techniques to help. I am looking forward to working with you!
In their first session with me, you can expect to have time spent with me discussing what brings you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish in therapy. We will get to know each other to make sure we are a good fit. It is my belief that everyone has to have a trusting relationship to be able to make the changes that are desired in their life. I am invested in each of my clients. I truly care and am empathetic to what changes people desire to achieve. I am up front and honest through out the process. I believe that "it does not matter what someone knows until you know how much they care" (Maya Angelou). I have extensive training and experience in education, Social Work, life experience, and also being a qualified clinician and therapist. When CBT is most effective in therapy it is implemented along with psychoeducational as we work on changing our thoughts, behaviors, and actions.
