I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with nine years of experience providing counseling across community mental health centers, school-based settings, and private practice. Growing up in a rural town with limited access to care, I witnessed firsthand the barriers many people face when trying to receive support. That experience shaped my commitment to delivering accessible, culturally responsive, and effective treatment. Since 2019, I’ve offered telehealth services alongside in-person sessions, ensuring clients receive quality care—wherever they are.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be an intake assessment, where we’ll explore your reasons for seeking counseling, discuss any current symptoms, and review relevant medical and personal history. This is also a time for us to begin identifying your goals and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan with measurable goals to help guide our work and ensure your needs are being fully addressed throughout the process. Most importantly, it's a safe space for you to share your story at your own pace.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
While my foundation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I take an eclectic approach to counseling—drawing from a variety of evidence-based methods to meet the unique needs of each client. I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all model for healing, so I tailor each session with intention, integrating strategies that align with your goals, values, and pace. This flexibility allows me to support clients through a wide range of challenges while maintaining structure, clarity, and measurable progress.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Through my experience providing virtual therapy, I’ve found that certain clients thrive in this setting especially those who face barriers to in-person care. I’m best positioned to support individuals who need flexible scheduling, live in underserved or rural areas, or feel hesitant or anxious about starting therapy. Whether you're navigating life transitions, struggling with symptoms of anxiety or depression, or simply seeking a safe space to unpack your thoughts, my approach is designed to meet you where you are without pressure or judgment.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have many years of experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I utilize talk therapy in addition to psychotherapy activities in my practice to perform this treatment.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I utilise solution focused therapy with clients who are experiencing short term life changes.
