Clients work on identifying their goals and creating coping skills around triggers. We will work to identify trouble patterns and create safe pathways through those.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I specialize in working with clients who are ready to overcome old patterns and have the insight and awareness to seek new patterns. I allow the client to be an expert in their own healing journey and together we can co-construct a new narrative to guide their life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have trained extensively on CBT for adults and adolescents. I use it to help clients connect their feelings and beliefs with their actions and behaviors. Many clients who struggle with anxiety and depression find it particularly helpful.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that helps people process and heal from distressing life experiences by recalling a disturbing memory while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation (like eye movements, tones, or tapping). This process helps "reprogram" the memory, reducing the emotional distress associated with it.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I recently completed several months of training in the ACT methodology. ACT is empirically support and evidenced based. As a practice it can help people experience increased emotional flexibility, and reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD.
