As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Texas and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado I have made the commitment to help others as they face adversity so as to develop a loving and compassionate relationship with themselves. I bring a wealth of experience and specialized training in addictions and mental health to my practice and there is one common theme I have noticed throughout my career, which is our self-talk. We are our own worst enemies, and this wreaks havoc on our self-esteem.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. My therapeutic approach is person centered, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I tailor my counseling to each individual client and I will use several interventions in practice. Using Positive Psychology and being Strength-Based is important in my practice as we work towards a healthier you, and I am well versed in CBT, DBT, Family Systems, and MI. I also have a background utilizing SFBT and Crisis Intervention.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with clients of all ages for the past 8 years, I have developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you identify the root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. I will walk next to you as you make this journey to become a healthier you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adolescents and young adults that are eager to improve in any aspect of their life, but don't yet have the tools needed to make their goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about parts of their life.

My treatment methods

Positive Psychology

I developed a love for Positive Psychology while studying Philosophy and when in the counseling room I look for strengths and virtues to bring positive aspects of your life to the forefront so as to be a happier, healthier you.

Strength-Based

With strength-based, we will focus on identifying and amplifying your existing strengths and positive qualities, rather than focusing on their weaknesses or deficits

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Starting my career in addiction counseling, this at one time was my foundational approach. When it is needed, we begin to recognize thinking errors about ourself and the world around us so as to challenge them and create new thought pathways.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, MBCT, is a modified form of cognitive therapy that incorporates mindfulness practices that include present moment awareness, meditation, and breathing exercises.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Sometimes we just need to process though a situation so as to find a solution and that is when I use this treatment method.
