New to Grow
I am a therapist who enjoys building a relationship with my clients by finding how to best understand each other. We may not share a background, but practicing curiosity from a position of genuine interest helps me better understand the people around me and form rapid connections. I believe knowledge and language have power so that the way we think and the information we use to think help us view what we think as changeable and adjust it to be more helpful.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will help us understand the goals you have for therapy and find out what those goals will look like when you have achieved them. The first session also helps me understand our environment in the past and present.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Therapy should challenge us both to explore new ideas and old ideas in new ways.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
At our highest effectiveness in working together, we will develop methods to manage your inner experience to more return to problem solving more quickly or consider the problem from other points of view. A healthy relationship with ourselves helps cultivate a healthy relationship with others. I take the approach that we use strengths you already have and uncover others along the way to be more effective in life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used several approaches under the umbrella of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help find your strengths and use them to help you improve.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy uses a manual to explore your thinking and recognize that your first thought doesn't have to be your only thought.
