LPC, 15 years of experience
New to Grow
Feeling stuck, anxious, or unsure how to move forward? Therapy can help you find clarity, peace, and confidence in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-II) with over 15 years of experience helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, substance use, and life transitions. In our sessions, we work as partners to: • Identify your strengths • Challenge patterns that hold you back • Build practical tools for lasting change I use evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution-Focused, Trauma-Informed, Person-Centered, and Faith-Based Therapy. I am committed to culturally responsive counseling, honoring your background, identity, and life experiences. My goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward healing and personal growth.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you, your story, and what brought you to therapy. You’ll have the space to share your concerns, goals, and any challenges you’re facing, while I listen and ask questions to better understand your unique situation. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, strengths, and areas for growth, and I’ll explain my approach so you know what to expect moving forward. The first session is about building trust, creating a safe space, and starting the process of healing at a pace that feels right for you.
I create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. My holistic approach—addressing mind, body, and soul—combines evidence-based techniques with personalized guidance, helping clients uncover patterns, manage emotions, and take meaningful steps toward lasting change.
I help individuals ready to heal, grow, and reclaim balance in their lives. My ideal clients are those struggling with trauma, anxiety, grief, or challenging relationships and seeking a safe, supportive space to explore emotions, build resilience, and create meaningful change. Using a holistic approach—mind, body, and soul—I guide clients toward clarity, empowerment, and lasting transformation.
I utilize cognitive reframing, cognitive challenging and cognitive focusing techniques to assist clients with disputing negative core beliefs. I also utilize strengths-building exercises, mindfulness techniques and empowerment tools to assist clients with developing skills for utilizing their inner strengths to solve problems and build resilience.
I use this treatment method to build rapport, establish trust, provide a safe, non-judgmental space, display empathy and warmth, validate and normalize emotions and provide supportive counseling.
I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds. I like to ask questions about my client's culture instead of making assumptions. I work hard to avoid bias and to respect one's culture, regardless of what our differences may be. I encouraged my clients to verbalize how they want their culture to be implemented in the therapeutic process, and to draw on their cultural strengths, resilience and community resources.
I do not impose my faith-based beliefs on my clients. I respect the fact that everyone has their own set of spiritual beliefs. I like to meet people where they're at and encourage them to draw from the tools they gain from their spiritual beliefs to help them overcome daily challenges and to give them hope.
I utilize engaging, probing, active listening, reflective questioning, and summarizing. I assist clients with identifying and verbalizing personal goals and discovering resources to help them achieve their goals. I assist clients with identifying any potential barriers that could stand in the way of them achieving their goals and skills for overcoming those barriers.
