New to Grow
I am focused on sex therapy, working with people who have gender or identity questioning issues, issues with partners, kink/fetish/swinging related issues, or problems or issues with sex and sexuality. I see individuals, couples, and polycules. I have both book learning and practical, lived experience in many sex/gender/sexuality issues. I am a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. I believe there is no single “right” way to experience desire, identity, or relationships. Therapy with me is an affirming, open-minded space where clients can explore who they are, what they want, and how to move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and self-acceptance. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in the wilderness, thrifting or browsing rummage sales, and sharing life with partners and five and a half cats.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is focused on building comfort and trust at your pace. We’ll take time to get to know each other, and you’ll have space to share what feels most important to you—whether that’s a specific concern, a broader question about identity or relationships, or an overview of patterns and experiences that feel connected. You’re never expected to share more than you’re ready for. Together, we’ll explore possible next steps and begin identifying approaches that feel aligned with where you are and where you’d like to go.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My strengths include understanding, clear communication, and the ability to explain complex or sensitive topics in relatable ways. I often use analogies, examples, and relevant lived experience to help clients make sense of thoughts, emotions, and relational dynamics that may feel confusing or overwhelming. Clients frequently share that this approach helps them feel understood, validated, and less alone, especially when discussing topics that can feel difficult or taboo to talk about elsewhere. I've also experienced many of the same situations that my clients my clients are currently experiencing, and I help normalize and validate the struggles that they are having.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who are open to exploration, curiosity, and value honest conversation or inquiry. Many of my clients are seeking greater understanding of their identity, desires, boundaries, or relationship structures. I frequently work with individuals and relationships within polyamory, swinging, non-monogamy, and alternative sexuality communities, as well as those who are curious about or newly exploring these paths. Many of my clients are struggling with new or possible identities, relationships, fantasies or interests. These sometimes cause worry, distress, anxiety, struggles, denial or curiosity. I strive to create a respectful, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore deeply personal topics and move toward greater self-understanding and confidence.
