My name is Shari Wofford. I am an LCSW with 15 years of experience working with individuals from all walks of life. I really enjoy listening to people. I know and enjoy getting down to the nitty-gritty and tackling the issues you want to address. I strive to create a safe and accepting environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, boundaries, life changes, and medical stressors. My goal is to help you find healing solutions and work to develop assertive communication & boundaries. I want to help you improve your quality of life with yourself and relationships with those around you. Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into your specific challenges. This will help us create a tailored plan for us to work on in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength comes from the sincere desire to see you grow and move toward finding solutions in your life. My empathy comes from hard-earned personal and professional experiences that allow me to relate with genuine compassion and intuition.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best positioned to work with individuals who need support with boundaries, self-care, and regaining control in their life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We all experience anxiety in some form or another, but it needs to be addressed when it starts to get in the way of our happiness or productivity. I’ve been treating Anxiety for over five years, mainly using CBT. We’ll focus on what triggers your anxious thoughts and the false stories your mind tells you. Then, we’ll create a concrete plan that includes evidence-based techniques and work through it together until your anxiety is manageable.
