Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Chicago, IL. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in Psychology, and then I went on to receive my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University. I'm a clinician who is dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and enriching environment for my clients. I understand everyone’s therapy journey is unique and I strive to ensure all of my clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Therapy is a space for you to explore your talents and strengths, identify barriers, and learn new approaches to cope with stressors.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. This is a very collaborative process and we will talk about goals and expectations.
Most people underestimate the skills and strengths they possess. I believe by empowering and highlighting skills a client already has allows the foundation for new coping strategies to be built. Life can be challenging and I believe nobody should ever feel alone on their journey.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are ready and open to making meaningful changes in their lives. These are individuals who are motivated to explore and understand the deeper themes and patterns that may be holding them back from reaching their fullest potential. Whether they’re struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I work with clients who are curious about themselves and willing to engage in the therapeutic process with an open mind. My approach is grounded in helping clients uncover unhelpful thought patterns, build self-awareness, and develop practical tools to create lasting, positive change. Together, we’ll work towards unlocking your inner strengths and empower you to step into the best version of yourself.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a common treatment for a range of mental health problems. CBT teaches you coping skills for dealing with different problems. It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions.
