About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years experience in the healthcare system. I am certified in Advanced Care Planning and Critical Incident Stress Management. While I enjoy working with a variety of people, I specialize in older adults and those who care for them. In addition to individuals, I enjoy counseling couples as they navigate transitional periods or when trying to work through difficult times that many marriages encounter! I have several years of experience working with persons who have disabilities along with their parents.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our initial visit, I will invite you to share your story. Every story is worth telling! I believe your time is important and you should feel like I am a valuable member of your team. Visit number one will be about getting to know each other. Following visits will give us the opportunity to set some goals for what you hope to accomplish. Let's get started!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It is not uncommon for people to get stuck in a cycle of negative thoughts. CBT helps people move forward out of times when feeling depressed or anxious and to reframe their thoughts in a more positive

Motivational Interviewing

Counseling is not about a therapist imposing their belief system on a client but about listening and asking questions in a way that helps someone find their own motivation and desire for change. Motivational interviewing supports my philosphy and strengths-based approach

Strength-Based

Every person has the capacity to change. What we focus on is what will grow. A strengths-based approach helps transition out of a victim mentality towards an understanding of resilience and resourcefulness.
