LPC, 3 years of experience
First and foremost, thank you for choosing yourself and for improving your own life. The courage it takes to step out of your comfort zone, no matter how unpleasant, cannot be underscored. I am often reminded of Marianne Williamson’s words: “It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” My name is Randell Morgan, and I am a licensed professional counselor and certified addiction counselor specializing in trauma, stress-related issues, anger, addictions, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, and more. With 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a unique perspective to help you heal. My approach is solution-focused and compassionate, and as a creative, I love watching clients grow and recreate themselves.
One of the biggest fears clients share is that if they feel bad during a session, they’ll always feel bad. The truth is, healing often involves discomfort—you may feel worse before you feel better, and that’s okay because it’s part of the journey. During our sessions, expect a mix of tears and laughter, confirmations of ideas you already hold, and new perspectives on situations you hadn’t considered. Most importantly, you’ll have a safe, judgment-free space to explore your past, your ideas, and your soul, filled with encouragement and support.
My therapeutic approach blends solution-focused and narrative therapy. After identifying the problem, we’ll focus on your strengths and ability to implement solutions. Through narrative therapy, we’ll uncover the meaning behind your experiences and feelings, then author the next chapter of your story. Together, we’ll plan a more fulfilling chapter of your life.
My ideal client has already done the hardest part—seeking help. They are ready to move forward toward the life they deserve. Sometimes, all it takes is a gentle nudge, calm redirection, and a listening ear to make a difference.
Our stories are ours to live, to master, and to recreate. There may be some parts of your story that you wish had not happened, but that part makes you who you are. Just as you cannot continue to write your backstory forever, you cannot live in it either. I will serve as your coeditor and writing partner as you create the new chapters of your life.
Sometimes you want to call out for help so that someone can fix it. What we make not realize is the only person that knows how and can fix it is ourselves. We will explore your current strengths —known and unknown —and carve them into keys to unlock the chains that bind us. We will acknowledge the problem and focus on the solution. Life is too short to dwell on problems. I will be your partner as we conduct strategies to address our issues and execute the solution.
