About me

I have experience working with people from many different ages and backgrounds, however I specialize in working with youth and young adults. Topics commonly addressed in my work with clients include: understanding/managing emotions, excessive thoughts or worries, time management/ goal setting, life transitions, anger management, substance misuse, self-esteem, work/ school performance, and communication skills/managing relationships. Outside of my practice I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, hockey, biking, hiking with my dog, and time with friends & family. Please reach out by phone or email to set up a free brief initial consult to see if I could be a good fit for you.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is helpful for a variety of mental health conditions by working towards acknowledging and observing negative thoughts and emotions. Mindfulness strategies aid ACT with coping strategies and focusing on the present, while taking action/ steps that align with values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When we have awareness of how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, we can take steps towards changing unhelpful thinking patterns to confront or cope with our emotions and change unwanted behaviors or consequences.
