New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults and couples seeking clarity, emotional balance, and stronger relationships. I provide a supportive and structured space where clients can explore patterns, build practical skills, and make meaningful, lasting changes. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches and guided by compassion, collaboration, and respect. I partner with clients to improve communication, strengthen emotional awareness, and support growth that aligns with their values and goals.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, I focus on getting to know you as a whole person. We’ll discuss your background, including where you were born and raised, how long you’ve lived in Georgia, and important relationships in your life, such as those with parents and siblings. This helps me understand your experiences and the context that shapes you. For couples, I will ask both partners about their individual backgrounds and relational histories so that each person feels seen and heard. We will also talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you would like support with. All sessions are confidential, and I work intentionally to create an emotionally safe, respectful space where open and honest conversation can occur. There is no pressure to share everything at once, the session is paced at your comfort level and designed to build trust and a strong foundation for our work together
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to balance warmth and empathy with structure and clarity. I create a supportive, emotionally safe environment while also helping clients identify patterns, build practical skills, and make meaningful changes. Clients often appreciate my collaborative style and my ability to gently challenge unhelpful dynamics in a respectful, nonjudgmental way. I am especially skilled at working with couples and individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, helping them slow down, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. My integrative, evidence-based approach supports both insight and action, leading to sustainable growth and lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adults and couples who are motivated to better understand themselves, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen their relationships. I work well with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, as well as couples navigating communication challenges, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, or relationship transitions. Clients who benefit most from working with me are open to reflection, skill-building, and collaborative work, and are seeking meaningful, sustainable change rather than quick fixes. Whether working individually or as a couple, my goal is to help clients build clarity, emotional safety, and healthier ways of coping and connecting.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based approach I use to help clients develop psychological flexibility and reduce the impact of distressing thoughts and emotions. Rather than focusing on eliminating internal discomfort, I support clients in changing their relationship with thoughts and feelings while clarifying personal values and committing to meaningful, values-driven actions. ACT is often integrated with CBT and relational approaches to help clients move forward even when challenges are present.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. CBT techniques in my practice focus on practical skill-building to support emotional regulation, stress management, and improved functioning.
Couples Counseling
Couples Counseling is a central focus of my practice. I work with couples at various stages of their relationship, including those experiencing communication breakdowns, trust issues, emotional disconnection, infidelity recovery, and pre-divorce or reconciliation decision points. In my work, I help couples identify unhealthy interaction patterns, strengthen emotional safety, and develop effective communication and conflict-management skills. Sessions are structured, collaborative, and goal-oriented, integrating attachment-based and evidence-informed approaches to support accountability, consistency, and lasting relational change.
Attachment-based
I use Attachment-Based Therapy to help clients understand how attachment patterns shape emotional responses, relationships, and communication. I support individuals and couples in building secure behaviors, emotional safety, and healthier relational dynamics.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in my couples work to help partners identify negative interaction cycles, access underlying emotions, and strengthen emotional connection and attachment security. I guide couples in slowing down conflict, expressing unmet needs safely, and building emotional responsiveness and trust. EFT in my practice is integrated with structured communication strategies to support lasting relational change.
