I believe healing happens through both grit and grace — the courage to look honestly at what’s not working and the compassion to change without shame. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in trauma, substance use, and co-occurring mental health concerns, with a strong focus on emotional regulation and safety. My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and paced to you. I draw from trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to help clients better understand their coping patterns, reduce reactivity, and build sustainable change. Therapy with me is not about forcing outcomes — it’s about creating safety, insight, and choice.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know each other. We’ll take time to explore what brings you to therapy, what you hope to get out of the experience, and what goals feel most important to you right now. I view therapy as a collaborative process, so I’ll invite your feedback and encourage open conversation about what feels helpful — and what doesn’t. It’s completely okay if I’m not the right fit after our first meeting; finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where we can start building trust and understanding at your pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a combination of empathy, insight, and authenticity to my work, which helps me connect with clients quickly and build a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. I’m often told that my ability to build rapport is a strength, and I take pride in creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I can be straightforward when needed, while also approaching conversations with gentleness and compassion. This balance allows me to support clients in exploring difficult topics, challenging unhelpful patterns, and moving toward meaningful change in a way that feels safe and collaborative.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults (18+) and adolescents (13–17) who appear “high-functioning” on the outside but feel emotionally overwhelmed, reactive, or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are used to being independent, capable, and holding it together — yet rely on coping habits that no longer feel aligned, including substances, work, food, relationships, or other forms of self-neglect. You don’t need to be ready for sobriety or have a clear goal for change. If you’re questioning your relationship with coping behaviors, struggling with irritability or emotional regulation, or feeling stuck between wanting change and resisting it, therapy can be a space to explore that safely.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’m a firm believer that our thoughts have a powerful influence on how we feel and behave. In my work, I help clients openly explore and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to distress, self-doubt, or negative emotions. I integrate compassion and mindfulness into this process, helping individuals recognize their humanity, practice self-kindness, and reframe their thoughts in a way that supports healing and growth. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with awareness and understanding.

Motivational Interviewing

I often use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients in making meaningful changes at their own pace. I believe every person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to serve as a copilot on their self-care journey while they remain in the driver’s seat. Through empathy, curiosity, and collaboration, I help clients explore their own motivations, strengthen their confidence, and move toward the goals that feel most authentic and achievable to them.

Trauma Informed Care

My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, meaning I prioritize creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. I recognize that each person’s experiences shape how they see themselves and the world, and I approach this with compassion and sensitivity. I focus on building trust, fostering collaboration, and promoting self-awareness so clients can regain a sense of control and feel confident in their ability to heal. My goal is to meet each client where they are, honoring their pace and their story.
