Hi My name is Siedah and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to creating a supportive, affirming space for BIPOC individuals. I recognize that your experiences, identities, and lived realities matter, and I approach therapy with empathy, cultural humility, and deep respect for who you are. Together, we’ll work toward healing, clarity, and resilience in a space where you can feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin building a sense of comfort and trust. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, any concerns or challenges you’d like support with, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You’re welcome to share at your own pace there is no pressure to disclose everything right away. I may ask questions to better understand your experiences, background, and goals, and we’ll discuss how therapy can best support your needs. Most importantly, this session is about creating a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and at ease.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply rooted in understanding you as a whole person not just a set of symptoms or challenges. I strive to create a space where you can feel comfortable being fully yourself, knowing your experiences, identities, and emotions are met with empathy and respect. I draw from evidence based practices such as CBT, mindfulness, EMDR, and Gottman Method techniques, but I believe therapy is never “one-size-fits-all.” Some sessions may focus on building practical coping tools, while others allow space for deeper reflection, healing, and processing. Clients often tell me they appreciate the balance of feeling supported while also being gently challenged toward growth. My goal is to help you gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change all within a space where you feel genuinely seen and understood.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love supporting individuals who are seeking a safe space to process feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change. Many of my clients come to therapy navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, or life transitions, often carrying patterns of overthinking, self-criticism, or emotional exhaustion. I work especially well with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals who are seeking a space where they feel truly understood not having to explain or defend their lived experiences. If you’re looking for a therapist who offers both compassion and practical tools, while supporting deeper healing and self-awareness, our work together may be a strong fit. Whether your goal is relief, clarity, growth, or healing, therapy can be a space where you feel supported, grounded, and empowered.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I integrate CBT to help my clients recognize and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior that can contribute to emotional distress or problems in daily life. CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and by changing one of these aspects, we can influence the others.
EMDR
I provide EMDR as a therapist in training. I apply EMDR to help my clients process distressing memories and experiences in order to reduce the emotional impact they have on their lives. EMDR particularly effective for treating trauma-related conditions, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but can also be beneficial for addressing other issues like anxiety, phobias, and low self-esteem.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I apply Brief solution-focused therapy to guide my clients as they identify and amplify their strengths and resources to find effective solutions to your concerns. Rather than delving deeply into past issues or exploring the root causes of problems, this approach focuses on the present and future, aiming to create rapid and sustainable change in a relatively short period of time.
Gottman method
My experience with Gottman informed approaches allows me to help clients better understand relationship patterns, communication dynamics, emotional triggers, and attachment needs even when partners are not present in sessions. This can be especially helpful if you’re navigating dating, conflict, recurring relationship stress, or healing from past relational experiences. Together, we can explore how you show up in relationships, strengthen communication skills, and build healthier, more fulfilling connections.

Siedah is very present during our sessions. She listens closely, takes notes, and connects dots from previous conversations. She also highlights the processes and changes that I am handling well and will point out the changes for me. Going through major life transitions with Siedah has been very helpful and needed. 10/10 would recommend! :)
