Senior Trauma & EMDR Therapist Depth-Oriented Telehealth for Adults with Complex Trauma Hello, I’m Bobbi Ebsen, LCSW - a senior trauma therapist with over two decades of experience helping adults heal complex trauma, attachment wounds, and nervous system overwhelm through thoughtful, paced, depth-oriented therapy. I work best with adults who: have a history of trauma or complex relational wounds, feel “stuck” despite insight or previous therapy, experience chronic anxiety, hypervigilance, shutdown, or emotional overwhelm, are navigating major life transitions, burnout, or identity shifts, want a therapist with depth, steadiness and experience. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, and helpers who are accustomed to managing a great deal - often at the expense of themselves.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I’m Bobbi Ebsen, a LIcensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience working with adults who carry the impact of trauma, chronic stress, and complex relational patterns. I practice trauma therapy in a way that fits real life - especially life in a place where many people are outwardly successful while internally exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. My clients are often thoughtful capable people who have learned to function at a high level while carrying more than their share beneath the surface. I have been in clinical practice since 2001 and am EMDR Certified. Over the years, my work has included private practice, community mental health, federal systems, and international humanitarian settings, including service in the Peace Corps and work with UNICEF in Sri Lanka. These experiences have shaped a grounded steady approach to therapy that values depth, pacing, and nervous system regulation over quick fixes. In my work, I focus on complex trauma, developmental trauma, attachment wounds, and the long-term effects of chronic stress. Many of my clients have tried therapy before and are looking for something more integrative - work that addresses not just thoughts and behaviors, but the body, emotional patterns, and relational dynamics that keep them stuck. My style is collaborative, calm, and respectful. I do not rush the process or push people faster than their system is ready to go. Therapy with me is thoughtful and contained, designed to help you feel more regulated, present, and able to engage fully with your life - rather than constantly managing or enduring it. I work well with professionals, caregivers, helpers, and creatives who value depth and are ready to engage in meaningful change. I offer telehealth therapy for adults located in California and several other states.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Trauma-Focused Therapy for Adults I provide trauma-focused, depth-oriented psychotherapy for adults who are seeking meaningful and lasting change. My work is especially suited for people who are functioning at a high level but feel internally overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected due to past trauma, chronic stress, or complex relational patterns. This is not short-term, symptom-only therapy. My services are designed for individuals who want to understand and heal the deeper layers that shape how they relate to themselves, others, and the world.

This was my first experience with online therapy and Bobbi. I felt safe to share my feelings and Bobbi’s presence was relaxed and relatable. There was a mixture of humor and depth to her approach. I am looking forward to having her guide my therapy sessions.
