Hey there! Life can feel like a constant push and pull between who you are and who the world expects you to be. Maybe you overthink every conversation, struggle to speak up at work, or feel like you’re never quite enough. It’s exhausting, and you’re not alone. I’m Betty, a first-generation Latina counselor who gets it. Together, we’ll work through the self-doubt, strengthen your confidence, and help you communicate with clarity and purpose. My approach is real, actionable, and tailored to you—with exercises and strategies designed to create lasting change. You have the power to own your voice and step into the life you want. Let’s make it happen. 💛
Our first session is all about you! I want to know what brought you to seek counseling and what you expect. You and I will set up goals, expectations, and what is right for you.
While I feel comfortable working with most individuals who are looking for help with communication, stress, and anxiety, I feel called to work with our younger women as they are creating their identities separate from their culture, family, and even beliefs. I'm especially aware of the Mexican-American experience as a first-generation Latina.
I love working with that quiet, yet intelligent person in the back of the room who is afraid to speak up. I see you. I know how hard it is to imagine that you have something to say.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy looks at what is happening in the driver's seat. This type of therapy looks at where our thoughts are taking us and how we can change them to change directions.
I embrace mindfulness-based therapy to help clients stay present, manage stress, and quickly navigate their emotions. I help individuals break free from unhelpful patterns and cultivate resilience by sharing simple mindfulness practices, breathwork, and self-awareness techniques. My approach is warm, practical, and uniquely tailored to each person’s needs.
