About me

I am supportive, understanding, validating, open-minded, flexible, non-judgemental, kind, empowering, compassionate, hopeful, encouraging, (sometimes) humorous, and LGBTQ+ affirming. I look to you as the expert of your situation and will collaborate with you in developing goals that work so that you can overcome roadblocks and achieve better mental health! I have a deep devotion to the field of mental health, and due to my own life-story decided to become a therapist at a very young age. I hope to be able to help you break-through any blockages and achieve your life's goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, you can expect that we will discuss your personal history, mental health history and other relevant background information in order for me to get to know you. We will also discuss treatment goals that you would like to work on.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I try to build on your own strengths and help you grow a strong sense of self and confidence. I am excellent at helping patients overcome their toughest challenges, negative thoughts and build the tools necessary to effectively manage their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I see young women, young men, teens, children and families who are looking to learn about themselves in a meaningful manner. I work with those who have anxiety, depression, women's health issues, and other common mental health challenges navigate their everyday stessers. I provide psychoeducation, tips, tools and coping mechanisms to help you effectively manage your feelings and have a positive experience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT (short for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) in therapy sessions because it is the gold-standard, most evidence-based therapeutic intervention. It helps patients navigate their thoughts, feelings and behaviors in an effective manner.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

It is important to engage in mindfulness practices both inside and outside of therapy sessions.

Psychoeducation

I provide information on different psychological tools and techniques patients can use to manage their everyday stressors.

Family Therapy

I help assist children and teens in their ability to effectively communicate their needs to their parents, siblings and other family members.

Strength-Based

We focus on your individual strengths as a person. I utilize this empowering method to help you recognize your own positive qualities and therefore build self-esteem/confidence.
