We collaborate to address issues that need immediateA psychotherapist with over two decades of experience, I’ve successfully helped clients build trust in the therapeutic process. My eclectic approach is customized to each client’s unique needs. We collaborate to address urgent issues and explore your change process to understand your life choices.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The initial session serves as an information-gathering session, primarily aimed at understanding your background. The first question posed is, “Why now?” This inquiry seeks to comprehend the reasons behind your decision to seek therapy at this particular moment. Subsequently, the second question is, “What are two goals you aspire to achieve during therapy?” These questions serve as guiding principles for the therapeutic process. Additionally, you have the opportunity to gather further information about myself and the therapeutic process.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength is joining. Joining in the therapeutic relationship is the crucial first step where the therapist builds trust, connection, and a strong working alliance with the client by showing empathy, understanding, and respect, moving from an "outsider" to an "insider" to create a safe space for exploration and change. Easing client anxiety and defenses so they are open to exploring deeper issues.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Ideally, you’ve exhausted all your options to feel better. If that’s the case, you’re here for help. I’m excited to collaborate with you to find meaning in life once again.
Trauma Informed Care
Research indicates that healing is indeed possible. Instead of focusing solely on the traumatic event, we will delve into its impact on the individual. By examining the change process and considering the value, moral, and belief systems involved, we can gain a deeper understanding of the person’s journey. Additionally, screening for PTSD can help identify the physiological symptoms associated with the trauma. Furthermore, developing a self-care plan can assist in managing symptoms or, at the very least, reducing their severity.
Eclectic
An eclectic therapy approach is a flexible, personalized strategy where therapists blend techniques from various therapeutic modalities (like CBT, mindfulness, psychodynamic, etc.) to create a unique treatment plan tailored to a client's specific needs, rather than sticking to a single "one-size-fits-all" method are many different treatment methods.
