Welcome, As your counselor, my purpose is to empower you to discover what motivates you. I’m deeply committed to helping individuals live more fulfilling, satisfying lives. I believe each person holds unique strengths, talents, and abilities—my goal is to help uncover these qualities & build a life of purpose and meaning. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating life transitions—whether you're experiencing a career shift, marriage or divorce, relocation, educational changes, parenting challenges, or grief and loss. Together, we’ll work to find clarity, confidence, and joy on your journey. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, and a Certified Co-occurring Disorders Specialist. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University. Over the past 17+ years, I’ve worked in a range of therapeutic settings, including family-based therapy, outpatient and intensive outpatient mental health and substance use programs, residential treatment, and private practice trauma therapy. Outside the Office I enjoy being active outdoors—walking, running, hiking, and and spending time with loved ones. I also raise and train service dogs, attend dirt track races, meditate, and love getting into a really good book. Family and friendship are at the heart of my life, and I find joy in making meaningful memories every step of the way.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Review of Rights and Responsibilities: I will explain what you can expect from the counseling process, including confidentiality, the counselor's professional boundaries, and your rights as a client. This establishes trust and transparency. Discussion of Reasons for Seeking Counseling: I will invite you to share why you have come to counseling. This could include specific issues or challenges you are facing, as well as any goals or aspirations you have for yourself. Exploration of Goals: Together we will discuss what you hope to achieve through counseling. This might involve clarifying personal goals, improving relationships, managing emotions more effectively, or any other areas where you seek growth or change. Listening and Collaboration: I will actively listen to your concerns, needs, and desires. This collaborative approach ensures that the counseling process is tailored to your individual needs and preferences. Development of Treatment Focus: Based on your discussions, we will work together to outline a treatment plan or focus areas for your counseling sessions. This plan serves as a roadmap for your sessions and helps track progress over time.
