Hi, I’m Paul. I am a Licensed Therapist and my goal is to help you discover ways forward through distress towards wellness. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. Distress is experienced in many different ways that impact our ability to function and cope within a healthy framework. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth behavioral patterns and pain perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session we will get to know each other. There is nothing about having a first session that locks anyone into a commitment. Our time will be spent in dialogue about who I am as a therapist and whatever you feel comfortable sharing with me about your reasons for seeking therapy. In some cases I may assess for potential safety concerns or levels of distress though these diagnostics are only to find appropriate supports for challenges that someone may be experiencing at heightened levels. Therapy is a conversation and our first session will give us both information about one another to decide what the next steps may be.

I am a listener and an empath while being and existential realist. There are ways forward and I love assisting people in discovery and mediating wellness to the best of my abilities.

Moving through distress with intent and strategies help us take one step at a time while appreciating where we are.
Compassion Focused
Self empathy can be hard to experience and learning self compassionate skills allow us to learn new ways to manage distress with confidence.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Focusing the capacity of our minds is an important component to actualizing change. Mindfulness supports help us unlearn unhelpful ways of processing by challenging us to bring awareness that change can occur.

Very easy to talk to and very insightful. I do feel safe discussing hard to talk about subjects with him and he is able to give support in these areas for me.

I feel like Paul really heard where I was coming from and met me where I am. The language and perspective seem like a good fit.

I just completed my third visit with Paul and he has been great. This is my first go at any type of therapy and I feel safe sharing what I am going through with him. I plan to continue attending more sessions with him.
