With over 10 years of experience as a social worker and mental health professional, I am passionate about helping individuals step into their future. Working on empowerment, healing, and guiding through the complexity of life. My approach to providing treatment is rooted in empathy and active listening. I make it a priority to check in with clients regularly to ensure they feel supported and heard. I believe in allowing clients to guide me through their own journey, honoring their autonomy and lived experiences, while also providing gentle guidance and appropriate challenges to foster growth and resilience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During a first session, I focus on creating a safe and welcoming space where you feel heard and understood. We begin by exploring your current concerns, goals, and any challenges you’re experiencing. I use active listening to understand your unique experiences and may introduce initial evidence-based strategies, such as CBT, ACT, or Mindfulness, to help you begin managing stress, anxiety, or other concerns. Together, we start to identify goals and develop a collaborative plan, empowering you to take the first steps toward meaningful change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My journey to becoming a provider has been shaped by a lifelong commitment to helping others in need. Alongside my lived experiences, I have developed strong clinical skills and am well versed in evidence-based interventions. My studies in Critical Race Theory inform my practice, allowing me to approach care with a culturally responsive lens that considers the broader social and systemic factors impacting individuals and communities. This combination of professional training and personal passion guides me in supporting clients toward meaningful change and empowerment.
