Hello. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my masters from Catholic University in Washington DC and have been practicing for 7 years. I help individuals struggling with past trauma, depression, anxiety and lack of fulfillment, find peace in their lives through Buddhist oriented psychology, logo therapy (search for meaning and purpose) and CBT (reframing your negative, unhelpful thoughts into positive, helpful thoughts. "You either get bitter, or you get better. It's that simple. You either take what has been dealt to you and allow it to make you a better person, or you allow it to tear you down. The choice does not belong to fate. It belongs to you.”

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into specific challenges your are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. I figure things out quick and get to the point without a lot of nonsense. I am completely non judgmental and its important for you to know, I have been where you are in some way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What makes me unique is I have experienced deep pain myself and over the years I have discovered the simplicity of what makes life fulfilling and truly happy. I might add that I am very good with adolescents who are having trouble with their parents and visa versa. I was a single mother of 3 kids and I have figured out some vital, simple things that may help some parents out there with kids who are feeling misunderstood and rebelling because of this. Its easier than you think and I have the answer.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

"You either get bitter, or you get better. It's that simple. You either take what has been dealt to you and allow it to make you a better person, or you allow it to tear you down. The choice does not belong to fate. It belongs to you. I love this quote, because it is true. I have experienced deep pain in my life and I know firsthand that you either remain stuck with your "story" or you can allow the pain to embolden you to become who you REALLY are; the truest, most authentic version of yourself. I resonate with people who have experienced deep disappointment in their lives; either with themselves or with other people in their lives. I resonate with those with addictive personalities (addiction) depression and anxiety as I have been in the same place, and over years have figured out how to find true peace through acceptance and surrender to what is; Buddhist oriented psychology and finding purpose in your life. You have been born with a purpose and I am very good at helping you find that.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help you with changing your negative thinking into positive and grateful thinking. I utilize Buddhist oriented psychology. I keep it very simple and to the point. You will not believe how a simple shift in attitude will change your life in a profound way. 🙏🏻✨

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I teach the DBT skill of mindfulness and learning to be grateful for the moment you are in. The present moment is your only real contact with life; otherwise you are stuck; continuously ruminating about the past, or anxious about the future. I help you find peace through accepting what is and becoming grateful for what is right in your life, vs. wrong.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I am very solution focused and am very good at getting right to the point of where the problem is, WHAT to change and HOW to stay there.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I help you find meaning and purpose ( Logo Therapy) in your life because ultimately this is what most people are lacking, and this is why they are depressed, anxious, etc.
