Hi, I’m Annie (she/her). I know how heavy life can feel when anxiety, depression, or past or ongoing trauma keep pulling you down—especially when you’ve spent years trying to hold everything together. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift on their own. If you’re neurodivergent, you may also be exhausted from navigating a world that wasn’t designed with your brain, sensitivity, or lived experiences in mind. In our work together, my intention is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel seen, and explore what’s happening beneath the surface. Our sessions are less about quick fixes and more about deepening self-understanding, healing long-standing emotional wounds, and building relationships—with yourself and others—that feel steady, authentic, and grounding.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is a chance for us to slow down and get to know what’s been weighing on you. We’ll explore what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been carrying on your own, and what you hope to understand or heal. I’ll invite you to share your goals and the patterns you’d like to shift, and I’ll help you connect this to a clear direction for our work together. My role is to create a grounded, supportive space where you feel seen, safe, and not rushed. By the end of the session, you’ll have a sense of what our work might look like and whether this feels like the right fit for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths include a balance of clinical expertise, deep empathy, and the ability to create a safe, empowering therapeutic space. With over 14 years of experience supporting survivors of intimate partner violence, young adults, and youth in the foster care system, I bring both skill and sensitivity to complex emotional work. My warm, relational, and empowerment-oriented approach is especially impactful for trauma survivors, neurodivergent clients, and individuals navigating attachment wounds and major life transitions.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am especially drawn to working with clients who crave emotional safety, understanding, and a space where all parts of them are welcome. My ideal clients often feel deeply, think deeply, and want a therapist who honors both their sensitivity and their strength. They’re seeking support for trauma, neurodivergence, attachment wounds, or major life transitions, and they want to explore the roots of their patterns—not just manage surface-level symptoms.
Attachment-based
Often times our current experiences, beliefs, and emotional responses can be tied back to how secure our attachment was with the people who cared for us as children. Using this lens helps us understand more about how you see the world, how you view safety, and how we can hold acceptance while working towards the best version of ourselves.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have extensive experience as a DBT therapist, practicing since 2016. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is grounded in mindfulness and balances acceptance with change. This treatment method focuses on managing distress, regulating emotions, and interpersonal relationships by using skill building techniques. I often reference these skills in session to support people in building the tools they need to be more effective in different areas of life.
Humanistic
Holding you as the expert in your own life and emphasizing the importance of validation and empathy is vital to the therapeutic relationship and space. I see my role as your healing guide, creating a safe and supportive space to discover your inner strengths and resources.
Trauma Informed Care
I have spent my career working alongside victims and survivors of trauma and abuse. Using the key principles of Trauma Informed Care, we can co-create a safe and trusting space, while empowering you to hold an active role in your healing journey.
Strength-Based
I find my therapeutic style is using a warm, curious, and gentle approach to create trust and respect. It also involves goal setting and emphasizing your role as the expert in your own experiences.
