Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with 4 years of experience as a therapist I have experience in helping clients across the lifespan with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, anger management, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. I became a therapist to help people find healing, peace, confidence and fulfillment. One of my mentors described being a therapist as being a Sherpa-a guide through the wilderness of life, and I love that metaphor. Whatever your peak looks like, I want to help you get there.
You can expect to take away a feeling of acceptance, some thoughts to chew on, some ideas to try to work through whatever they are struggling with, and a sense of hope that you're in the right place for things to improve.
Providing a nonjudgemental, empathetic, collaborative space for clients to share and work toward a confident, fulfilling life.
I am most passionate about helping survivors of trauma of any age. My clients are willing to do some deep digging and reflecting to identify patterns in their lives that are no longer serving them well. I also enjoy working with adolescents and young adults as they are figuring out who and how they want to be, navigating the struggles of relationships with family members, friends, and partners as well as increased responsibilities that come with growing up. Overall, my ideal clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about how to move forward, but the are ready for change!
Understanding your attachment style and where it came from can provide insight into your current relationships and guide our therapy to get you where you want you and your relationships to be.
Trauma is inherently complex. Understanding the complexities and how it has altered your world view, sense of self, safety, and others will help me guide your treatment to reach your goals
There is power in sharing your story in a safe place. When you understand how your story affects you to this day (positively and negatively), we can focus on addressing any automatic negative thoughts and subsequent behaviors.
