About me

Greetings! I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Alabama. I received my Masters from the Our Lady of the Lake University. I have been in the mental health field for nearly 20 years, and have been a therapist for a total of 4 years. In 2021, I became a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I became a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in 2024. Life is full of events and sudden changes. My aim is to help you become the best version of yourself.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions to get to know each other better. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. Next we will explore the specific challenges you're facing and create a plan to achieve your desired outcome. In the follow-up sessions, we will continue to build and work together. Therapy is a process and we will work plans into action to achieve your goals or navigating towards your healing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I will provide a listening ear to help you process thoughts, manage grief, and create goals for wanted changes that can lead to you feeling empowered. I have experience with working in the mental health field with all ages including toddlers, children, adolescence, adulthood, and the elderly. I have held various types of groups and provided crisis intervention. Not only have I enjoyed working with them, but I have learned from them as well.

I love working with a wide range of people who are facing many challenges. I have worked with people who need assistance with career development, goal planning, boundary setting, anxiety, anger management, and grief counseling. I will assist my clients with overcoming challenges faced throughout their life journey. Together we will explore the obstacles and navigate towards your goals or healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT in my practice and it has helped many clients challenge reoccurring thoughts. We will work on negative thoughts and manage anxiety. CBT will allow use us to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you with having a less anxious and stressful life.
