Welcome to a safe and supportive space where you can feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in FL, I take a person-centered, strength-based approach that prioritizes your autonomy and choice. I meet you exactly where you are, while helping you recognize your strengths and build skills for emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience. I specialize in working with teens and adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, depression, career changes, and personal growth. Together, we’ll uncover patterns holding you back and create space for meaningful change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our initial sessions, I use a person-centered approach to collaboratively create a plan for addressing your needs in a way that feels right for you. I prioritize creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, supportive, and aligned with your values, allowing us to move at a pace that honors your process and builds on the therapeutic alliance.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Your well-being and autonomy are at the forefront of my work. My treatment types include a person-centered, client-centered, strengths-based approach. I also specialize in helping clients focus on 'here and now' functioning, through both mindfulness-based practice and DBT grounding principles.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, or depression, or who may be having a difficult time coping with life transitions or life experiences. You may be navigating change, feeling uncertain about next steps, or noticing patterns that no longer serve you and want support in moving forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I like to use person-centered therapy as a way to build rapport and develop a treatment plan. I feel as if the client should have full autonomy in the therapy space and that the client knows what works for them best. This allows the client to trust the process and build trust within themselves.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I think the body and mind connection is super important and understanding its connection can help us better understand ourselves. Our body and mind are so much more connected than we think. Understanding mind and body connection can help build trust within ourselves and understand how to better move forward. Mindfulness-based therapy can help with managing anxiety and stress and help us better tackle difficult moments and experiences.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I like to incorporate ACT principles into my sessions, as a way to help individuals focus on the here and now, to help tackle overthinking patterns. This mindset can help individuals build a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions, rather than trying to get rid of them. The thing is, we cannot always control what shows up internally, but we can learn how to respond in ways that align with what truly matters to us. ACT helps clients move forward with more flexibility, self-trust, and intention, even when things feel uncomfortable.
