**Reach out via email at chesytb@gmail.com to schedule a consultation, to join the insurance waitlist, or if you're a former client** My name is Chesy Tronchoni Bello, LPC, MT-BC, CYT. I’m a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor, Board-Certified Music Therapist, and yoga teacher. I specialize in helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, trauma, and identity development. My integrative approach to healing is rooted in intersectional feminism, humanistic tenets, and trauma-informed care, incorporating mindfulness-based techniques, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and expressive arts and movement.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first couple of sessions of the therapy process will be dedicated to start developing the therapeutic relationship and gathering relevant information about you across different areas of your life. I start by listening and getting to know the client’s life, relationships, and significant childhood experiences that may be affecting current thoughts and behaviors. From a “bottom-up” approach, we work on managing any symptoms with healthy coping skills and mindfulness techniques before diving into exploring the “why” of things to find sustainable change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My warmth and authenticity help people feel safe and connected. I am flexible, non-judgemental, and open-minded, so I am not afraid to approach uncomfortable or "taboo" topics that are important parts of life. My diverse life and professional experiences allow me to empathize with people from all walks of life, and to integrate different healing modalities into the work of therapy. **Reach out via email at chesytb@gmail.com to schedule a consultation, to join the insurance waitlist, or if you're a former client**

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have experience supporting people from birth to death, with a wide variety of identities, cultures, and lived experiences. I feel the most passionate about working with women, young adults, the LGBTQ+ community, people going through life transitions, and anyone who relates to the immigrant experience, either first-hand or through their families. I am also a native Spanish speaker with lots of experience providing services in Spanish or "Spanglish".

My treatment methods

Multicultural

Part of the therapy process is learning about how your cultural background and upbringing inform the way you see and navigate the world. I make sure to address the struggles of those whose race, gender, socioeconomic background, religion, or any other part of their identity that is oppressed by society.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is being aware of internal thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as external surroundings and situations, without automatic responses such as judgment or stress. Mindfulness-based therapy focuses on learning how to be more aware and to reduce automatic responses, gaining more flexibility and overall wellbeing.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy is a form of talk therapy that explores the connection between past experiences – often from childhood – and your current mindset. Working together, we look at how these early memories have affected your thinking, behavior, and relationships in adulthood.

Feminist

Feminist therapy focuses on the challenges that women and people from marginalized identities face as a result of bias, stereotyping, oppression, discrimination, and other factors, and how those stressors can negatively affect mental health. I believe that wellness is inextricably linked to an individual’s social and cultural identities and the political environment in which they live. The therapeutic relationship is based on equality between therapist and client, and the ability to forge an authentic connection.

Trauma Informed Care

I am deeply mindful of people's experiences of trauma and its impact on behavior, mental health, and ability to engage in therapy and daily life. I will take steps to avoid inadvertently triggering or re-traumatizing clients, not forcing to disclose details or to go into parts of treatment that clients are not ready for yet.
