New to Grow
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My approach is grounded in Attachment Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, which means I focus on strengthening emotional connections, exploring personal stories, and fostering secure relationships. In our work together, I aim to create a safe, collaborative space where you can better understand your patterns, heal from past wounds, and move towards meaningful change. I believe that with the right support and insight, everyone has to ability to create new paths towards connection, growth, and emotional well-being.
In our first session, my goal is to create a warm and welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing what brought you to therapy. We will spend time getting to know each other, exploring your goals, and discussing what you hope to gain from our work together. I will ask questions to better understand your background, relationships, and the challenges you are currently facing. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, strengths, and areas for growth, and I will explain how our sessions can support your goals. By the end of our first meeting, you will have a clearer sense of what therapy with me looks like and the direction we can take moving forward.
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly seen and understood. My background in community mental health has given me extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of challenges. This experience has strengthened my ability to met clients wherever they are, adapt to their unique needs, and help them uncover the patterns that shape their relationships and emotions well-being. By integrating Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, I help clients build insight, foster secure connections, and create lasting change in their lives.
My goal is to support individuals, couples, and families who are looking to strengthen their relationships, deepen emotional understanding, and create healthier patterns of connections. I often work with clients navigating relationship challenges, communication issues, attachment wounds, or life transitions that impact how they relate to themselves and others. My approach is especially helpful for those who are open to exploring their emotions, past experiences, and relational patterns with curiosity and compassion. Whether you are hoping to rebuild trust, process past hurts, or develop more secure and fulfilling connections, I provide a supportive space to help you move towards meaningful growth and health in.
In my work as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I use attachment-based principles to help clients explore how their early childhood-caregiver relationships shape the way they connect with others in the present. I focus on creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where clients can explore patterns of attachment, emotional needs, and responses to intimacy or conflict.
In my practice, I guide clients to reflect on the experiences, relationships, and cultural messages that have shaped their identities. Together, we uncover strengths, values, and moments of resilience that may have been overlooked. Narrative Therapy is especially powerful in helping individuals, couples, and families reframe their experiences, gain new perspectives, and create new meaningful change in how they see themselves and their relationships.
I use Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients understand and transform the emotional patterns that influence their relationships. EFT allows individuals, couples, and families to identify underlying emotions driving conflict or disconnection and to express those feelings in a safe, supportive environment. In my practice, I help clients become more aware of their emotional needs and learn to communicate them in ways that foster connection and trust. By focusing on attachment needs and emotional responsiveness, I support clients in building stronger, more secure bonds and in developing healthier ways to navigate challenges together.
