Positive Psychology

Modalities utilized in session : Initially we explore reasons for therapy, and provide alternatives when focusing on utilizing new ways of coping skills

Supportive

There are 2 questions I ask couples. 1- what are your goals? Do you both equally want to be in therapy? Or… Is one of you unsure 2- Do you like who you are in the relationship? Or… are you dissatisfied with who you have become in the relationship

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

When working with couples, ethnicity can be an issue. We explore the issues and the extended family dynamics and expectations

Interpersonal

In therapy I try to provide different options for the individual/couple to consider. The statements are not personal beliefs. We look at situations where they feel “emotionally safe”.
