(she/her)
Linda England specializes in individual therapy with adult clients (25-80). With more than 10 years of licensed experience, she works with clients who struggle with Anger, Anxiety, Identity, Confidence, Relationships. Her therapy interests are: Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Feminist Theory, Male Issues, and LGBTQIA+ Affirmation.
The first session is a get-to-know each other meeting. You can ask any questions you have about Linda’s education, experience, what to expect in the therapy process. You can ask about the forms you filled out, or her philosophy about therapy. She will ask you to tell her in your own words why you decided to start therapy now, what you are looking for, and what you hope to achieve in therapy.
Linda is known as non-judgmental, helpful, caring. Her main concern is what is important to you. She will respect and honor your opinions and decisions: this is your therapy process. Linda actively participates in your therapy work. She uses her training and experience to guide you in a kind, gentle way. Her goal in your work together is that you learn ways to develop confidence and trust your own perceptions, intuition, and decisions which in turn leads to healthy relationships with yourself and others.
If you want to have more clarity about who you are, understand how life experiences have and continue to show up in your life, have symptoms of anxiety or PTSD, or behaviors you’d like to change…if you are in a relationship that is not what you want it to be…this includes your relationship with yourself, let’s talk. We can work toward your having more self-worth and a meaningful life.

Trauma Informed Care
Linda has worked with clients who have experienced interpersonal and other trauma including discrimination, social marginalization, early childhood trauma, anxiety, and depression. She has worked with military veterans since 2016, many of who experienced combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. She uses a combination of Talk Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Strength-based, and Solution-focused therapies.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Living and working in Los Angeles, Linda has had the privilege of working with a diverse group of individuals. Her graduate training included work at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and The Center in Long Beach. As a Caucasian therapist, she is aware of how her physical attributes and life experiences could affect the therapeutic relationship. She invites conversation about any experiences of prejudice and discrimination you may have experienced. She has been told by BIPOC clients that she has compassion for and understands the harmful effects of discrimination and prejudice.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Linda studied and experienced Mindfulness and Meditation through the UCLA MARC program and on her own for over 20 years. She has led mindfulness groups and day-long retreats. She believes that mindfulness and meditation are essential practices for holistic well-being. She suggests a daily 5-minute guided meditation practice using an app such as CALM or HeadSpace. Research has shown that consistency, not how long each day a person meditates, has the biggest positive effect. For clients who need more guidance, Linda will demonstrate in session mindfulness techniques or use Clinical Hypnotherapy—always your choice.
Hypnotherapy
Linda is trained in Ericksonian Clinical Hypnotherapy methods. She uses hypnotherapy for relief from anxiety and racing thoughts, somatic awareness, and developing confidence.

I was able to share my trauma from childhood, and how it has affected me today. It was a relief to get in touch with those feelings, to share them with someone who is willing to listen, and to shed tears.
