About me

Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of North Carolina. I received my Masters degree from Arizona State University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I believe that working together in a safe, non-judgmental environment can create space for the healing you deserve. In my early career I worked with Child Protective Services to support the reunification of children with their biological parents. I then moved to North Carolina to continue work with keeping families together that had suffered trauma and/or behavioral issues. From there, I worked as an individual therapist working with teenagers and adults. During that time, I led groups that focused on education for women who experienced anxiety on a daily basis. Prior to the Grow Therapy platform, I worked to support adults in crisis who needed immediate psychiatric support.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our fist session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through together in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with young adults and teenagers for the past 9 years, I’ve learned that no two people will respond the same to a specific treatment. That is why we work together to (a) identify the root cause or your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to your measurable progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with young adults and teenagers that are having difficulty with social situations, sadness and self identity. My clients are eager to improve but don’t yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice for the past nine years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. Using CBT will allow you to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We can then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

I have made more progress with Annie in the short time that we have been working together than I have made in ten years with various other counselors. She is always quick to remind me that I am important and that my feeling are validated. She reminds me that I can get through anything. I look forward to where this goes.
